सध्या आपला COVID 19 अर्थात कोरोना विरोधात लढा सुरू आहे. आरोग्य तसेच इतर सर्व यंत्रणा आपल्या मदतीसाठी तत्पर आहेतच, आपण सर्व सामान्य सध्या लॉकडाउन अनुभवत आहोत कारण तोच यातला एक अनिवार्य परंतु प्रभावी मार्ग आहे. हे लॉकडाउन आपल्या सर्वांसाठीच अत्यंत आव्हानाचं ठरतंय, विशेषतः लहान मुलांसाठी. त्यासाठीच विनोद मेमोरियल वेलफेअर सोसायटी (VMWS) मुलांच्या महोत्सवाचं आयोजन करीत आहे. हा महोत्सव फेसबूक या डिजिटल मध्यमावर असणार आहे. त्यामुळे घरात राहूनच त्यात सहभागी होता येईल. यात विविध स्पर्धा आहेत, त्या पुढिलप्रमाणे

एकल नृत्य स्पर्धा, चित्रकला स्पर्धा, पोस्टर तयार करणे, निबंध लेखन
विविध कलागुण दर्शन स्पर्धा (यात गायन, लिप सिंक, अभिनय, मार्शल आर्ट्स, वाद्यवादन, कविता, विनोद सादरीकरण किंवा अन्य कलागुण यांचा समावेश आहे.)

डिजिटल माध्यमावर हा महोत्सव आयोजित करण्यामागे आमची उद्दीष्ट

1. मुलांना व्यस्त ठेवणे आणि त्यांच्या उर्जेला योग्य दिशा देणे.
2. मुले आणि पालक यांच्यातील संवाद वाढविणे तसेच त्यानी एकत्रित वेळ घालविणे
   3.या काळात घरी राहण्याबाबत मुलांच्या माधमातून जागृती करणे.

हा महोत्सव विनोद मेमोरियल वेलफेअर सोसायटी (VMWS) तर्फे आयोजित होत आहे. VMWS ही संस्थापक अध्यक्ष श्री मुकेश ठोमरे ह्यांनी सुरू केलेली एक विनासरकारी संस्था आहे. ठाण्याच्या ग्रामीण भागातील तसेच गरजू मुलांना शैक्षणिक तसेच क्रिडा क्षेत्रात सर्व सुविधा मिळवून देण्यात संस्थेचा पुढाकार आहे. नवनवीन आणि वैविध्यपूर्ण कल्पनांचा अवलंब करुन लोकांपर्यंत पोहोचण्यामध्ये संस्था नेहमीच प्रयत्नशील आहे. आताच्या कठीण काळात काहीना आपल्या मदतीची नितांत गरज आहे हे ओळखून विविध उपक्रमांमार्फत
अशांसाठी आर्थिक, वस्तूस्वरुपात किंवा प्रत्यक्ष मदतीच्या स्वरुपात कार्यशील राहणे हे संस्था आपले परम दायीत्व मानते.

The toughest tasks in today’s time is keeping children at home and keeping them busy. Parents are already at the end of their wits on how to keep them occupied. Children at home are spending most of their time on mobile phones playing games or in front of television set watching cartoons.

To help parents find a solution to this and give children an opportunity to get involved in fun tasks, Vinod Memorial Welfare Society (VMWS) has come up with an innovative idea of online Child Fest through their facebook account. Under this initiative they are conducting various online competitions like Dance, drawing etc. wherein children have to do this activity inside their home and post their videos, photographs on Child Fest facebook page. This serves as a great home bound activity which will involve kids and their parents spend some quality time together doing fun based tasks and also participate online in competitions from their homes. VMWS will be announcing further schedule of online activities which will make this lock down period a time to remember for all participants.
